Opinions on Ka-bar folders

I've been using the Thorn for about 5 weeks now. I ground the top edge about 2/3 of the way back and use this for heavy duty cutting tasks and the factory edge for finer stuff. The steel seems to hold up very well and easily resharpens on my Sharpmaker. Last Saturday I cut insulation right on an OSB floor for about 5 hours. I could tell that the knife was dulling somewhat, but I cut a lot of bats of insulation before this. About 10 swipes on the Sharpmaker had it good as new.

What I don't like about the knife is that it feels kind of cheap. There is much more play in the blade, both laterally and open/close direction than I would like. I tried tightening the screw a bit and it helped but also made it much harder to open. The other bad thing is that this is a noisy knife to open, there is a very noticeable clicking when opening.
