OK- Maybe you've seen it- 5 shot, .22 cal. revolver in a knife handle- Looks like a M16 bayonet. Website: www.grad22.com
As far as I can tell it looks like fun, high James Bond gadget factor, etc., but without the proper CCW permits in most places, something that would get you thrown underneath Gilligan's Island. Wasn't there something similar circulating around earlier? Any opinions? Anybody played w/ one of these yet?

I havent seen it, but it sounds kind of neat, kind of stupid. It seems like the kind of thing that might be neat to have around the house to show off(provided their are no little kids), but it would be next to useless. The way I abuse my knives, drop them, flick them, etc. I wouldn't want them to have the ability to shoot at me, and I don't think it sounds like it would be a real dream to shoot either. Maybe you could post a pic of the knife/gun.

Howdy Kyle- I'd like to post a photo, but can't. I'm simply not smart enough.
I haven't gotten much past the "turn the sucker on" stage computerwise- I'm still looking for the gas cap or the firebox.
Their website is www.grad22.com maybe you or someone else with computer smarts can load an image. I'm not sure if I like this knifegun (or gunknife?) yet or not. Not sure if I'm ready to think of a knife as "loaded". Paradigm shifts bother me.

There is a fellow here in Oregon who makes a knife/gun combination. It's really elaborately done. And it is an NFA Class III firearm. I suspect that this would be too.

You can not be legally own a Class III firearm without an approved and stamped BATF Form 4 which requires finger prints, photographs, and your local Police Chief or Sheriff's signature as well as an FBI background check and approval of the BATF. Why? Because it's a gun that doesn't look like a gun. Disguised guns are Class III AOW items under the NFA. Fortunately, they are AOW items, so you only pay $5 in federal tax.

I am fortunate to live in Washington County, Oregon where our Sheriff, Jim Spinden, who is running for re-election unopposed

, is very pro-gun. Getting your form 4 approved here in Washington Country is not much of a problem. They don't rubber-stamp 'em, but at least they will sign 'em. If I lived up the road a ways in Multnomah county, then it would be impossible. Many Sheriff's simply will not. But, even if you've got a good sheriff, = it's still a lot of hassle and a lot of time to jump through all the necessary hoops.

Toys. If they're not giving them away, they're charging too much.

What would you use one for? Maybe the firearm is a potentially useful defensive weapon, but I doubt I would put the knife to much hard use, considering the damage it could do to the firearm. The bayonet version has got to be a bad joke.

It doesn't look like the most comfortable aim-and-fire piece I've ever handled, either.

Although not a two-in-one combo like the other one, this pair is probably a little more functional.

My little .32 Seecamp with a small hunter I (mostly) made under GenO Denning's tutelage.

Senator Your combo makes more sense ..I prefer a little heavier ordinance such as a .40 cal glock

Yeah, so do I. That's why I've also got a Glock 23 .40 caliber. But the Seecamp is my American Express gun - I don't leave home without it. It simply goes places that the Glock can't at times.
