Specifically on the aluminum version of the metalmark. I can get a decent deal on 1 for 190 and i was wondering if it would be worth picking up to flip it? Its brand new in box for that price plus 8 shipping. Should i go for it? I cant find much info on the web about this bali.

It seems like a really good price for a Metalmark.

I'm quite happy with my Microtech knives, they are pricey but really well made with top notch materials. Their proprietary screws can be a pain in the behind if you like to disassemble your knives. They don't have the best reputation for customer service, either. I don't pay much attention to that since I'm far from the US and mailing any knife back to the manufacturer is just not an option for me.

I cant say that i really like to take my knives apart. Its just a inconvenience to me. I do worry that what if it becomes loose after flipping and i dont have the proper tools to tighten.

Of course, just make sure it's a reputable dealer. For that price it's a good deal and an even better blade

Ill disclose where im getting it from once i order it dont want anyone to grab it before i get the chance :p. There was a method to the madness of that price too.

I'm by no means an expert flipper but I did own a metalmark aluminum version. The screws are torx with the tamper hole in the center (the exact size and name eludes me) but they're easy bits to get, I believe even autozone had them last time I was there. The handles are SUPER light and makes the knife almost want to "fly" out of your hand. It had ELMAX steel and was EXTREMELY sharp. Overall I liked the knife and I'm quite partial to microtech but i sold it because I realized I just wasn't great and flipping. 190 is not a bad price for a new one, if you're patient they pop up from time to time used for less than 190.

That's a good price, and I have nothing bad to say about Microtech. They are exceptional knives.
