That US military issue reminds me of my dad's. He had a brown lanyard attached to the bail, as a matter of fact, I think he still has that lanyard on that knife! I remember asking him as a kid, why his pocket knife had a tail. He told me it was to get it out of his pocket easier. Well, first he made up a story about the lanyard material, and how rare ferndock fibers were. I still do not know what a ferndock is to this day. I was pretty sure he was pulling my leg right from the get go. Thanks for taking me way back, to very good memories.

A nice collection. If you'd like to diversify further, perhaps something elegant that looks good at the table as well would be a nice extension. For example a Chambriard Le Compagnon, or a Maserin Gourmet, or a Perceval "Le Français" or of course a decent laguiole.
Also something fun to add would be a classic 2 blade pattern slipjoint, like a trapper or a copperhead. Several interesting brands like GEC or here my favourite Carl Schlieper "German Eye".
