I'm new to knifemaking, and wanted to get some opinions on my first three pieces. The guthook stag was my first, the other stag was second, and the redheart handle is my most recent.

Very Nice :)
Look much better than my first attempts. Also see quite a bit of improvement along the way, so keep doing what your doing :D

Only suggestion I can make is that you might want to improve the point on your gut hook knife so that you'll have something to poke that initial hole with. Otherwise you can't do a lot with the hook.

Would like to know how you did the serrations, they look good. Also, give us more detials on these, type of steel? Dimensions? How did you heat treat them?
Nice work

Well you just jumped in with both feet, didn't you? :D Nothing like pushing your envelope with all the bells and whistles to get things going. I'm with Matt, let's hear some specs.

If you want to leave more texture on the stag scales, grind away on the back to get them close to the final dimension, then mount them and finish off the edges. Looks like you did a great job drilling the pin holes for them! Took all these guys holding my hand (metaphorically speaking) for me to figure that one out.

Thanks for sharing, keep em coming.

very nice!! What is the dark wood?
I like them....the last 2 are my favorite ;)

I like 2 best stag with hole, 3 red wood second and the gut hook finishes up the set.

great work, don't stop now.
