What are your thoughts on a New York Knifenut's Club?
1.Meet informally in show area at the 2 N.Y.shows,Blade etc.
2.Benefits=Trade,buy,& sell-knives,videos,gadgets&gear etc.
3.Show & tell at shows;Good,Bad & Ugly that you don't want
to post on the net.
4.Arrange seminars,self-defence training etc.
5.Save on group buys & special limited custom runs.
6.Open to everyone,no matter where they live.
7.Free for Charter Members.

Sounds good to me- it'd be nice to socialize with other knife people now and then, espcially if we can meet on the Island, instead of schlepping into the city.

Sounds interesting. I know some other guys that would be probable members. Let's hear what's going on.

Maybe a get-together at next weekend's NY Show would be in order. Let's look for each other.:cool:
 
I endorse any knife club. I am also wanting to start something up here in the lower CT area for Konnecticut Knife Knuts. 'Have knives will travel....';)

But having said that, I have been priviledged to attend a couple of the Empire Knife Club's gatherings in Brooklyn on the 2nd Wed of each month. Jan Muchnikoff has really tried to get folks to join in, and any new energy would be most apreciated. Maybe consider helping to build an already established and needy club? I was treated like royalty when I showed up as a guest with a few knives for display. His phone: 718-763-0391

The Empire folks deserve a look for those in the NYC area. It's worth the trip. There is usually a good group of guys & a fair smattering of forumites from time to time. I'm in VA now & can't make the meetings, but wish I could.
 
I'm interested in the concept of a knife club but would like to learn more about the Empire Knife Club before attempting a new start-up.
 
Unless something unforeseen arises, I'll be there on Sat. Just keep an eye out for the Amish looking guy w/glasses.

western reigion club? nycity is a tad far for those of us out here
in the western part of the state...any of you in the fingerlakes
area?
