Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the replys! It seems many of you have the Ricochet, from the responses. I did handle one at a local knife shop, but nobody imports folders from REKAT, so theres no chance of me handling one. Could I hear more about this knife, especially on the edge geometry and the way the blade is unlocked and deployed? I'm interested in the tanto blade version.
Regarding CPM 440V, how tough is this steel? I'm interested in its ability to flex laterally. I used an ATS-34 blade to remove coconut fibers for rope making once (by prying out the fibers), and the tip bent permanently. I know this constitutes abuse in a folder, but it'd be nice to have this luxury.
Thanks to all who responded. And oh Russ, I wish the canings would stop. Then I'll have a reason to buy myself a tactical folder for defensive use. As it is now, with all the canings going on, even the occasional fist fight gets front page news. Sigh. Just kidding!!
Regards,
Pang
