I haven't seen much on this blade. I know it's small and that's what I need for small folder. I have a Southern Grind Spider Monkey on the way but really have been eyeing the Metis. Just looking for any opinions. I like what I see except the pocket clip. Just curious if anyone has any advice. Thanks!

I haven't handled one but I haven't heard great things about their folders. They're generally considered overpriced compared to similar offerings and I think their lack of popularity confirms that. There are numerous sub 3" flippers out there with higher-end blade steels and materials for a lesser price.

All that being said, keep in mind that I have not handled a METIS flipper.

I have one, although it's been heavily modified by Josh of Razor Edge Knives:

Josh did amazing work, but I would not recommend the stock Metis. The design isn't great, it doesn't flip very well, the clip stinks, it feels weird in the hand, and it just doesn't feel like you're getting your money's worth.

I like mine very much.
Unique size and blade shape. There isn't much else in this size range.

Not sure why so many people bash this American maker. They are top notch. Maybe people just don't like companies that rival, or exceed, their fanboy favorite brands.

Thanks for the input. Yeah I am not a fan of the clip but I could live with it. I'm guessing the screws go into the titanium scale? The Metis really interests me but I don't know. I know Spartan makes a great blade.

There is some truth to this.

Similar in size to Metis I'd also consider CRK Inkosi and my favorite Koenig Zenaida. However, neither is a flipper.

I am thinking about a Metis, and figured while I was at it, wake up this thread. Anyone have experience with a Metis that wants to weigh in?
