I have been looking at the Busse Assault Shaker, and I'm hoping at least a few people here have and use these, so I can get some firsthand opinions.

It's a greart little knife, but remember that it was originally designed for some very serious guys, and that short, fat little blade is incredibly thick. It will be the strongest neck knife you'll ever see, but won't slice as well as some due to it's thick profile. It will slice - Just not as well.

Try asking your question at the Busse forum under makers & manufacturers - you'll get far more replies there.

I didn't like the design very much. The blade is brutishly strong, but the short handle doesn't provide enough grip to create the kind of leverage you need to make use of such strength. The edge on the one I had was also quite thick, and it did not cut well. It amounted to a small chunck of an axe head with too little handle as far as I was concerned.

I have one and it is the best 2" prybar I have ever owned:D but it is the least expensive way to join the Busse Army & it is made out of INFI:D.A low sodium assault shaker would be cooooool though & I DO NOT HAVE A BUSSE PROBLEM!!!!!!8 Busse's no problem:D

Yeah, I'm looking for a really tough little knife that I can really use without having to worry about breaking it or tearing it up.

I figure if the edge is not too great for everyday cutting tasks, I can either learn to live with it or try to improve it.

I have 3 other Busse's coming my way, but I'm really wanting a small knife I can carry anywhere and use anytime, for just about anything.

So, somebody pass me an Assault Shaker in trade for my SERE 2000, and I'll be good to go :)
