Opinions on the Benchmade 755? Any blade play?

I am brand new to the knife scene and have been bitten by the knife bug. Unfortunately I live in Indianapolis where knife shops are non-existent so the internet is my only source for information. Even stores like Dicks and Gander Mountain have extremely limited selections.

One knife that has caught my attention is the Benchmade 755. Everything about this knife is appealing to me. The thick, short, but sharp blade, frame lock/ti lock, titanium and g-10 scales/handles, I even like the overall size being short but wide, and I don't mind carrying a heavier knife. One thing personally that I cannot accept is any blade play. One thing I learned about this knife in a youtube review was that it has an adjustable stop pin that is faceted with each face being machined a little differently than the next. When the reviewer received his 755 it had a little bit of blade play so he rotated the stop pin to a position that allowed the knife to have zero blade play. Does anyone else have experience with adjusting this stop pin and how well adjusting it works to work out any blade play?

Another knife I really like is the Spyderco Sage 2. Anyone have and love this knife? Any blade play?

Any other recommendations on some good high quality edc's would be awesome.

Some knives that have also caught my attention:

Benchmade 750
Benchmade 740
Chris Sebenza 25
Strider SNG

I have a "gift" BM755 from my older son...that I actually asked for. It has a great M390 steel and a rock-solid lockup. It's also like carrying a very sharp rock. The handle is VERY thick...about 0.640" if I remember correctly. MUCH thicker than most carry knives. Strive for about .450" or so. If you like BenchMade, the model 710 in D2 is a favorite EDC of many.

The Spyderco Sage series is nice; the Native series is nice. I like the carbon fiber Chaparral a LOT. Carbon fiber handles are usually sought after, and a favorite of most...in any model, whether the Chaparral or their much larger Gayle Bradley in M4...another classic blade. I'm a Spyderco nut, of course, and my favorite knife of all time is the Paramilitary 2. You can get them ANIB for $120 or so in the Exchange here, although the price varies madly with blade-steel. The S30V standard blade-steel is just fine; will serve you very well, and is used as the standard by the "expensive" boys like Chris Reeves and Hinderer.
All of that being said, I always carry a Chris Reeve Sebenza. Any model will do. The older models are mostly 0.125", whereas the newest model 25 is about 0.140" thick...as is their Unmumzaan. Not sure why they changed it. A thinner blade is "generally" better at slicing; a thicker blade is generally stronger. Take your pick; you'll be happy either way. I'd rather go with the model 21; I've had quite a few. They are all great EDC's.
Strider Sng is a very good knife; I've had five or six. Excellent rep, great factory service, tough as nails, and is the knife to get if you want a "TACTICAL" appearance. The Sebenza or Spydercos are generally much more friendly in appearance.
It's fun to pick one...then another...then another...
