I am very close to buying a full size Dejavoo, and have been doing a search on them here within the forums. I have noticed that alot of people either love or hate them, I would like to get some up to date info from you folks that have been using one and how they perform overall, quality of craftsmanship, etc...

Thanks.

Its a nice folder as it comes from the factory. Even better when it gets my special whammy but hey, I'm biased. ;)

Seriously, the ones I've seen have been pretty nice. The detent ball in both didn't quite hold the blades closed as well as I like personally. But other than that they seemed fine. The larger one for some reason seemed to cause my thumb to bump the horn when opening the blade though, but only on occasion. Didn't notice this at all on the smaller one though and for what its worth, I liked the smaller one better. The full size one is huge!

Very nice knife. Very smooth opening. Very sharp. I would highly recommend this knife...... unless you want a HEAVY DUTY user, then i would get something a little tougher.

There are alot of people that do not like this knife because Lum signed an exclusivity deal with benchmade so he wont be doing work with any other production company for a while. Secondly benchmade does not give spyderco credit for the spyderhole. I would say most (not all) people who dislike this knife dislike it for these reasons and not because they do not like the knife itself.

I handled one, and it was really light weight. It seemed like the handle was hollow, the handle was also round and textured like a tree branch. Benchmade did a good job on making this large knife look and feel classy and non-threating

the dejavoo is the only liner lock i have that i can slam open like i do with axis folders
it also carries extremely well
i have both sizes and love them

I have only handled one, so my experience is limited. I really like the blade, but the handle just doesn't work for me.

I totally agree. The blade is great but the handle has no protection against sliding up on the blade... just doesn't wok for me either.

I have one that sits in my drawer at home. I like the shape of the knife and the size of the knife. I just wish BM had gone with the same thick liners they used on the 425/426 model knives. This could be a very nice hdedc if BM would beef it up a bit. Of course I'm partial to the hd folders out there.

I have a prejudice against blades with holes in them. Otherwise seems a nice knife. I'd get a 710 before the Dejavoo though.

I have one with the black blade.

It is a very nice knife, however, in my opinion it is a bit overpriced for quality you recieve.

I have the mini version and like it a lot. It's not a heavy duty knife, but is a very well executed design that is a pleasure to carry. It has great lines, blade steel, and F/F.

I own the the smaller one it carries great, holds an edge:thumbup:
I've used as a edc until I got my mini rukus now i carry dejavoo
daily or dress and mini rukus in the woods or in speedo:eek:

p.s. just get one you wont be disappointed ;)

BladeWarrior,
How much do you expect to pay for a 4 in blade of s30v with machined G10 h andles and titanium liners (at least locking side).... Dont get me wrong this isnt a "hard use knife" but for around 100 it seemed like a decent price for that knife

It's a super fast to deploy slicer. Excellent knife for self defence. I can open my full sized black blade with a very slight flick of the wrist. Not extra heavy-duty but it's light and locks up fine. I'd never expect it to see the use my ZT0200 would.
