the solution kicks some serious a$$. i had the chance to beat the crap out of mine down the woods 4wheeling and it was very impressive. I did everything with this knife, i dug in rocky soil with it, i stripped the all the bark off of a fallen tree (about 20 feet tall).
I cut branches, vines, a broken tow strap, a candy bar, and opened up a can, i also pounded it into a tree with another log(not sure why i did this one, it just seemed like fun

)
the fit and finish of mine was extremely good, the grind was even and the edge was insanely sharp. after i came home i gave it a few strokes on the 204 with the fine rods then a few more with the ultra fines and it was back to its original scary sharpness
the sheath is made by s.o.e. so its damn neam bullet proof. although its a little different from the normal strider soe sheaths, its only set up for high ride carry, but its still very comfortable from any position, even sitting down. the pouch is as big as regular soe sheaths which is great for a multi tool. the only complaint i had about the sheath is that mine came with an unshaped kydex liner,so it rattled a little bit in the sheath, but 2 mintues with a heat gun will fix that easy.
id say the knife is ALMOST as good as the real striders, its about on par with the MFS. its the same blade shape, thickness and around the same length. i think that for backwoods carry the solution is a better choice simply because the soe sheath is great and allows for easy access and gives you some storage space as well. it also depends on wether you prefer G-10 or paracord handles.
buck has definetaly outdone themselves with this peice.
OMG i cant belive i wrote that much
