I'm new here and had my eye on the CRKT 2760 Chugach Range Pro Hunter

Does anyone have any good info/review or opinions on this knife? Is this one of the better quality CRKT models?

LINK HERE

2760: Modified Drop Point, Razor-Sharp Cutting Edge
Blade: Length: 3.75” (9.5 cm)
Thickness: 0.16” (0.40 cm)
Steel: 44OA, 55-57 HRC
Knife: Overall length: 7.875” (20.0 cm)
Weight: 5.0 oz. (142 g)

Knife loooks good, but 440A steel? Aack.

I once hunted in the Chugach Range in Alaska and nobody carried a knife made with 440A blade steel.

For that kind of money I recommend you look over some knives with higher quality blade steel like ATS-34, S30V, D-2 and the list goes on.

Thanx Slatts! Any specific recommended links for a n00b? :)

Check the Bark River Knives at DLT Trading. Outstanding quality, a ton of different styles and handle options, and customer service is as good as it gets. Their hunting bowie is a real bargain @ $101 bucks. (6" blade, stabilized dark curly maple handles)
