Opinions on the CRKT Ripple?

Don't own one, but I have held a pre-production model from a Knife Shop owner. It's feather light, but the frame is extremely flexible. As in it is very easy to over exert the frame lock. It definitely feels like a very light use knife. Super slim/thin and like I said just weighs like air.

The thing I personally want to know is if the IKBS compares to anything with the IKBS that's not production. I've got a IKBS Korth and it's smooooooooth.

Exactly! I handles a Burchtree flipper with IKBS and have wanted one since, but for now, let's go with the Ripple. I never planned on using it for hard use anyways ;)

I have two pro series Galyean models with IKBS, the large JYD II and the Lahar. I too am interested in how well a factory made knife with IKBS performs, because the ones that I own are beyond buttery smooth!

I bought one. I handled it for a bit, carried it for a day or two, then I sent it back. While the IKBS opening was nice and smooth it didn't sell the knife for me. I love the IKBS knives that I own, but this one was just kinda meh... I didn't like the pocket clip, the factory edge was beyond horrible, it's too light and thin, the framelock felt flimsy, there are sharp edges on the scales of the knife, and even the flipper was sharpish. In my opinion, the original Ken Onion Ripple design is solid, but CRKT did a poor job of executing the production version.

I have it. It is rather smooth pretty in a unique way, but it is definitely for light "gentlemany" use: the framelock covers the blade nearly completely hence it will not be able to handle a lot of wear. Hence, I would only recommend it for gentlemen use.
If you want to see it in the hand, I made a short review video about it.
