I like how it looks aesthetically, and wanted to know what everyone thought of it. Is it thin(huge issue for me. For some reason I love thin easy to carry folders)? How is the build quality?

do ya mean a mini socom or a mini socom elite?
the mini socoms are cool, but kinda on the smallish side for me, the mini socom elite is a little larger and has a frame lock vs a liner lock, and is a much better knife imho, & i do have both.
if i had to carry a knife w/a short blade for legal reasions/etc i would edc a mini socom elite.
It's a great little knive - I love it to bits. It's definitely very light and therefore must be my most common EDC. When I clip it in my suit jacket inside pocket, I can't feel it at all. Fantastic little knife!

I own a 98 and like it well enough I guess. It is definetly thin and lite wt. Wish the handle was bit chunkier though. My ball detent works excellant to keep it closed. Sharp as hell too. keepem sharp
Hey everyone... I am google searching right now, and am having a bit of trouble seeing specific details in the differences between a mini-socom, and a mini-socom elite. Can anyone provide some specs please?
Also, can someone recommend a reliable source to purchase from please? Thank you.
WWW.PVK.com has both the Mni Socom and the Elite. I've purchased from them in the past, they're first class..
The Elite is a newer model and is a little bigger than the older "Mni Socom".
The Elite also is a frame lock and I think the older model is a liner lock.
