opinions on this set...

My father is famous for pulling boxes out of a closet and saying "have you seen this yet?"

The last time he did it he showed me a complete Schrade "13 Colonies" set in a nice display case.

This time he pulled out a Schrade scrimshaw set. There is some discoloration on the blades and bolsters but it isn't rust. It is brown and sticky. All have the same serial # 1455.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics but it was the only camera I had with me.

Great set! I don't see the knives from that particular year/ issue very often. Love that great horned owl.

This year does not show up in singles very often.

507 Lockback - Bobcat

513 3" Bearhead - Rattlesnake
515 4" Lockback - Owl
502 Sharpfinger - Buck Deer

This years set did not have the 518 Guthook or a 296 Trapper

I've seen you post better sets Jason, but I like this one . Not too common. Curious if all of the knives are all stamped stainless with the + ?

offered in the shortline catalogs thru 2000
Officially discontinued in the 2nd 1/2 2000 sales year meeting.
A different pattern almost every year.
