Greetings all,

I just got my hands on a CRK Warrior and I really like this knife. I was wondering if some of you who have had one for a while could tell me how it holds up with moderate to hard use. Does the S30V have problems with chipping?...Jim

If you’re sharpening free hand on a flat stone it’s going to take a while to take the Warrior from a convex edge to a V edge. Once you’ve flattened the shoulders out it should hold and take a very good edge.

I’ve used my Warrior reasonably hard, and, as yet, haven’t chipped the blade. CRK seem to leave S30V a bit softer than other manufacturers, and I wish people would learn from this.

The KG becomes a lighter gray color as it wares, but you’ll know about that from having a one-piece.

For me, the handle is very comfortable for extended use.

I wish it was possible to get an A2 Warrior. At the end of the day S30V is a compromise that I don’t really need or want in a fixed blade.

I am asuming that you are refering to the Neal Roberts Warrior. Right?

I have one I carry in an aftermarket leather sheath (from CRK) and one still NIB.

Not to be too nit picky, however, the Neil Roberts Warrior is a dedicated knife to the memory of Neil Roberts, so I feel that it should ALWAYS be refered to as the "Neil Roberts Warrior" instead of just "the warrior".

Just my own opinon!
