Just got through grinding these 2 out. Smallest one is staying with me as my personal neck knife. The bigger one? Who knows? Both are flat ground out of K190PM, a super alloy powder steel from Austria. I got the steel from a friend here on Bladeforums. The analysis of this powder steel is:
Carbon 2.3%
Chrome 12.8%
Manganese 1%
Vanadium 4%

The neck knife is about 6.5" overall with a cutting edge of 2 and 7/8th of an inch. The bigger one is 8.25" overall with a cutting edge of 3.5". Both are going to get some kind of micarta slabs, but I am undecided on which color.

I say one in Maroon and one in Black. To bad they don't make a green micarta as that would look really cool also.

Danbo, I like the neck blade...The larger blade looks very useful too.
I just got off work and buffed up that stabilized redwood burl. That really made her shine. It's a deep brick red. I think it would look good on either of those knives.
I'll give a call in the a.m....well noonish pacific time. I need my beauty sleep.

Then a nice green would look cool also.I guess I should look at something other than natural handle materials once in a while.

The knives are good looking. Tell me more about the steel. It sounds like a good mix and should be a great knife steel. How much and how plentiful. Do you know HT specs? Availabe thicknesses? Ect. Thanks for sharing

The steel is made by Bohler in Austria. The only pieces I was able to come up with are 1/8" thick. Took a lot of doing to get it, as they usually only make it in thicker dimensions unless you are buying a whole lot of it. It actually cost more to ship it back than did the steel itself. Paul Bos looked at the spec sheet and called it a Enhanced D2. Darrel Ralph has heat treated a blade of it, and said it was similar in heat treat to 420V. I got my pieces from a man who lives over there, but I was able to pull up a website for Bohler here in the states that carries it. The problem with the distribution center location here in the states is that they only had a few pieces available, and those pieces were about a half inch thick.
