Wondering if anyone has any experience with one of these. Maybe heard a rumor. I'd settle for a gut feeling.

The knife looks good and the specs are ok but I've never seen or handled a linton knife before. thanks in advance.

I first saw an ad for a Linton knife a few weeks ago , but it was a fixed blade knife with a "fantasy" look. Before that I never heard of them.

Your post peeked my curiosity and I did a little research, they seem to be made in Taiwan , but I can't really offer an opinion regarding quality.

I did find their web-site and thought this was amussing....

I had noticed the abundance of engrish on the site.

I checked out the specs and didn't realize it was in the 60- $70.00 price range.... For that price I would go with a known brand like Spyderco or Benchmade.

From Spyderco check out the D'Allara Droppoint, Endura 4 ot Delica 4

From Benchmade, any of the full sized Griptilians

I'd advise doing some searches here (on BFC) and elsewhere if necessary. From what I remember seeing here, most (if not all) opinions expressed were of the negative persuation regarding Linton. Some of it was directed at their liberal adaptation of other makers designs, but others, which dealt with quality issues, weren't very flattering either.
The piece pictured looks alot like Steve Ryan's work IMHO.

They sell 420J2 knives for $50 that can be had for $5. I would definately stay away from them.

It is very unusual in shape sort of reminds me of a piece of celery that has been left in the frig to long.

I appreciate the input but I'm not a fan of spyderco or benchmade.

Because?

What brands do you like? Sebenzas okay with you?

I usually carry a timberline assisted opener. But more recently a buck.
Being in Michigan I can't carry any of my autos and my fixed blade knives are to big. Unfortunately I don't have children so I can't trade my first born for a sebenza. I'll keep looking.

Thanks for the help guys.

If you do get it then please follow up with a review, I'm curious to know if it has any value or is just another version of United Cutlery crap.
