Hi folks,
a little update, and a question for you guys.
My journey into DE shaving has lasted for one year (more or less), and I want to thank you guys again for the help you gave me. Now, I'm a happy (and decently skilled) DE shaver, and I even converted another guy. The seeds are spreading :D
Now, my Merkur Futur makes me happy, and I don't think I'm going to put it aside anytime soon. Yet, the thought of getting a smaller, lighter travel razor keeps calling to me. Which leads to the Merkur 933CL:

Anyone ever handled it? is there a straight bar version as well?
Thank you again for your feedback and help :)

I've used both, they work very well for the price..... if you want to start using this brand id suggest going for the platinum razors, cost a few extra $ but trust me its worth it

Use mine a lot as I prefer razors with shorter handles, never got on with my Merkur Barberpole too clumsy.

I find it delivers an excellent aggressive close shaving with a Feather, it dismantles brilliantly and take up next to no space.

However, all the Merkur razors I have suffer from poor plating around the guard, they all blister, bubble and leave nasty exposed bits that need to be smoothed down or they will scratch your face. forget about their guarantee, it's no longer limited lifetime just 12 or 24 months.

I really could do with another marque but the Muhle Open comb I got while having 1st class plating&finish is really too psycho. I like aggressive razors but this just gives you duelling scars-see mantic's videos on this.....:eek:

But the Merkur traveller does impress, just watch that plating:mad:
