Opinions wanted on first heavy mod

Let me know what you guys think of what I consider my first heavy mod. It started as a cold steel gi tanto and is going to be my new sheath knife for camping/woods use. Just finished giving it a rough even finish with 320 grit wet/dry to get all the grind marks out. Going to increase to 400 and so on until I get a good finish when I get some more time.

I want to hear any opinions you might have. How would you classify it? What would you use it for? Is there any production knife that is similar?

Nice. I have one for throwing that I ground the top guard off with a wheel.

Just a beat up tape handle.

Yours turned out very nice. They are tough buggers, for not much money!

Decided to snap some more photos while the lighting was alright before more sanding. Our cat Neptune made it in the last pic, he is 17 years old this year and is still known to terrorize the neighborhood's kittens at his leisure
