Don't post much but lurk quite a bit. I've learned a bunch from the members here. Thank you all for sharing your experiences.

My first was a Small PJ Sebenza21 Insingo. Sold it for a Small Sebenza21 Micarta Insigno. The Micarta had issues from the start and even thou I sent it back to CRK for warranty work, I couldn't get past it so I sold it. I'm weird like that.

Up for consideration next is 1) Back to a Small PJ21 Insingo 2) Small 21 KN Carbon Fiber Insigno 3) Small Inkosi not sure if PJ or black micarta.

I've read numerous reviews on both ans still am undecided. I don't use my knives hard but do carry them every day. I won't be field stripping them. Large hands, palm open 4" across. I might be in the minority here. I didn't notice a difference in grip with the micarta.

A large won't work for me for EDC.

Any opinions based on experience is appreciated. Thank you and have a nice day :)

For the small CRK I prefer micarta

My Small
Micarta insingo is one of my favorite

I didn't succeed in warming up for my small plain ti Inkosi and i will have to sell/trade it soon.

I you recommmand either back to small micarta insingo or KA

I have a large KA Inkosi and it's great

I think the micarta 21 is one of my all time favorites and would serve you well. If you love perfection I think the sebenza 21 is going to be the closest thing to it. I don't have an Inkosi yet, but I'm sure its great as well.

The small Inkosi is a fairly small blade and will be awkward at best in your larger mitts. Even with my medium-sized hands I find the small Inkosi too small and I have 3 of them-- you'd think I would have learned.

The plain Jane small Insingo would be my recommendation. It's the right size and has the best overall utility style grind. I do like the micarta inlay versions, but you found them to have issues and the design & materials have not changed, so I'd stay away from them.

The KA carbon fiber has light weight and that cool lanyard bead, but I still have reservations about the long-term durability of carbon fiber. If you drop it on the right surface, it will chip where titanium will get a scratch or deformation (and added character). I have a KA CF 25 and think it's pretty slick, but if I had to select a model I'd trust without question, it would not make the list.

Go with the small Insingo.

I had a KA Small CF Insingo and strange as it sounds it was too light for my liking. Maybe I should have kept it longer to see if my perception would change, but I just didn't care for the overall "feel". I absolutely love my Small 21 Micarta and need to eventually pick up an Small Micarta Insingo too. I also had a KA Large CF Insingo and really liked that one, but prefer standard 21 blades in large.

Thank you. I didn't have an issue with the micarta itself just the knife. Based on how I use an EDC I didn't see any advantage to micarta. That's based on my experience.

Any disadvantage to double lugs?

The micarta is good for grip if it ever gets cold/wet.
Double lugs are always a good idea..they seem to sell better than single and the option to change hands is there.. not a huge advantage..but an advantage nevertheless.

Another question. Is it common to buy a BNIB knif with inlays from a CRK AD and have the birth card dated the year before? Happened to me before with the micarta and I had to wait for the knife because I wanted blue hardware.

Yep..not a concern.

Very true. However, I'm the oddball on this one too on a small. With it's smaller thumb stud, I find I can comfortably "pinch" the blade with my thumb on the stud (on top) and my index finger below (under the blade) for a nice secure "sideways" grip. On double studs, it is much less comfortable.

I like the carbon fiber CRK's. Mainly just for being something different. I've handled a small Inkosi and found it to be too small.
Have you considered a Ti-Lock ?????

Among my small 21 collection I have a set of three (Drop Point, Tanto, & Insingo), all with micarta and dual silver thumb lugs. The dual lugs are one of the best features in my opinion.

Thank you for the pics. Does the inside lug get hung up on your pocket at all when you take it out?

No lug hang-up when removing from pocket. That's true for "normal" fitting jeans (not stretched tight) and tech pants like Vertx or 5.11, where they have pockets you can easily put you hand in even with a full size folder clipped in.

Haha good point. Borrowed a large Sebenza21 for a few days to try it. It just didn't work out.

My pick out of the choices you presented would be #1.

My favourite knife in the whole world is #1 but a large, so no bias here!

The Insingo blade is a gift to users, and I like the minimalism and durability of plain Ti handles...

Thanks for your input. Still haven't decided yet. Will keep you all updated. I thought I had my mind made up yesterday but you know how that goes. :)
