Technically I didn't make a knife so this forum might be ok for the post.

I found an old kitchen knife in a junk store, reshaped it, and turned it into a hidden tang. The new handle is Honey Locust from my sister's farm. It's was supposed to be a drop point but didn't quite get there. For me, the knife is just right but nobody at home likes it. What's your opinion?

As long as you like it, that’s all that really matters. A good functional knife isn’t always eye candy.

Not bad!!!

Looks like a nice project. If I were you, I would try to grind more of a point on it.

Was the Honey Locust a dead tree or live tree?

Maybe you could post some better pictures...less fuzzy and with a tad more light.

your pic isn't working ... but good job, if you like it is all that matters

It doesnt have the finish of a rockstead
but I bet the knife feels good in the hand.
I don't mind drop point blades and I like
wooden handles. It's a pretty good looking
home-made knife
