Opnions needed

We need Charlie Mike's two cents here.

I have to say I'm more into using knives. The first one looks like you might have to tighten the screws in the handle every so often, and my experience is that the lock tab at the back either fits too tight or too loose. Likewise, some balisongs that have quality control issues have some side-to-side flex between the handles and blade.

The handles dont close together like most others. We do plan on using them for simple things like box opening and such but mainly flipping. Ill be getting the quandry so thank you for the heads up and normally id buy a better quality knife but no need to go crazy on my first right? haha

When I started collecting knives, I bought twenty and thirty dollar knives.

Now I've started looking seriously at two hundred dollar knives....

Balisongs is my main point of interest. Both of those balisongs are CCC balisongs. They are cheap for sure so they make great beater knives, while they can flip they wont be the best flippers as they wont be overly balanced in terms of dynamics. Also here is my philosophy on balisongs.

Just buy the more expensive ones. The reason I say this is because, if you buy the cheap CCC and you end up loving flipping, then you wasted your $20 because you will need to buy a better knife. Or lets say you buy a CCC and you end up not liking flipping, then you just wasted your $20. Although if you buy the nice BM balisong, and you end up liking flipping then you wont need to buy another balisong immediately. Conversely if you buy the expensive BM balisong and dont like flipping you have two options. Keep it, it still is a great knife after all, or, just sell it, which will be easy. You cant go wrong with a BM balisong. Although a kimura is a great first balisong as well.

Sorry if that was confusing it might take a few reads. Although those are alright balisongs in a general sense. Balisongs are just amazing, and once you buy one you will for sure buy many more.

Also they should hold up for a little while, although that depends, on were they get dropped, if they get dropped, and what tricks are being done with those balisogns.

They are cheaply made and need help and attention to the screws that hold them together. They will cut, flip, and do about anything a more expensive one will do but not for as long. Add some lock tite that is removable to all the screws so that they won't fall off the first day. Good luck.

Ive flipped a few knives in my time and enjoyed and I want to start out with simple things seeing as I dont have the money for a BM42 (my boyfriend wants a 42,62 really bad.) These were both ones he found that had a unique finish and reasonable price at the current time. We do plan on doing flipping but just simple opening and closing along with maybe a thumb roll or transfer. While I personally have had many knives ive never had a butterfly and I was always responsible with them. The screws were my main concern because my bf always told me how a few of the cheaper ones werent fitted properly and flew off the handle.I really appreaciate everyones help.
