Well, I've been doing pretty good lately, haven't bought a CRK product since Blade Show West in '01 (left hand walnut small inlay with damascus blade that set me back almost $700.00). A couple of weeks ago I ordered a left hand Mnandi. Got an e-mail today from Bridget saying that they have one in African Blackwood ready for me. I called her up, gave her my credit card info and it will be in the mail tomorrow! And the wait begins. Should have it by Friday. This is the first batch of left hand Mnandi's. I've handled a couple of the right hand models but I have a hard time opening them. I'll post a picture as soon as I can.  :D  :p

Fell off the wagon myself on Monday ,got my Classic 2000 leather inlay yesterday ( of course it had to be overnight delivery ).
A fantastic piece of work.

Great grabs fellas! Which one did you get Paul? Large/small, brown/blue? I currently have a large brown that I sent back to have double thumb studs put on and it is one of my favorites to carry as it is the one Dave, aka Lifter made the sheath for. Either way they are indeed sweet pieces!:D

Just got back from my local b and m knife shop. Since my lefty Mnandi is on it's way I thought that I would check one out first hand. I was pleasantly surprised. Very solid lockup and actually easy to open but awkward to close a right hand model for a southpaw. looking forward to the "brown truck". :D  :p

Is there a picture of the blackwood version?
I have large and small Sebenzas, my prized and most expensive knifes, however I have been looking at the snakewood Mnandi even though I cannot afford it now!:(
In debt......Daughter's camp expenses..... Must...show... restraint.....

artsig1, the Seb' I got is the Large 2000 Classic with brown calf leather inlay , it really is a beauty.
I knew it was with the dealer a few weeks back but held off because I was going to a show last weekend and wanted to be sure I had the funds if anything turned up.
As it happened nothing took my eye at the show ( except for a Springfield Randall , but at £2300 it was waaaay out of my league ), So the Sebby got the vote and became mine. They are just addictive!

In the past eight weeks I've traded for or bought, in order:
small sebenza, Bocota Mnandi, plain Umfaan, circles Umfaan, Mountaineer II. The last two are on the way right now. On my wish list are: large sebenza, zig zag Umfaan. That should take care of me for a long time.:D Now all I have to do is sell enough stuff to generate the funds to finance the two on my wish list.

I can just see explaining it to my wife:

"Honest honey, I was walking down the street, just minding my own business. Suddenly I slipped on a banana peel that someone had carelessly tossed onto the sidewalk. Before I knew it I was on the ground, Mnandi in hand, and all the cash gone from my wallet...

Honest!!!"

:D

Martin:
Go to www.knifeoutlet.com They have a picture of a Blackwood Mnandi. Or wait untin Monday or Tuesday and then I will scan the one that I should have by then. I was dissapointed Friday when I got home from work and there was no package waiting for me.:( But I know that it will be soon!:D

Congradulations Scott.

I can't wait to hear what you say about it.

Here's something to look at until you get yours. :)

Well I got my baby yesterday and she is a beaut! My darn scanner is on the fritz and I haven't been able to coax it back to life. I think I'll wear in my scrub top at work. The thinner blade slides through fruit like you wouldn't believe. It should do nicely cutting tape, plastic tubing and the ocassional t-shirt! :D  ;)
