Optimal peanut lighter wick position?

Is there an optimal position for the wick in a peanut lighter in order to maximize the chances of igniting on the first strike?
 
It doesn't have to be too long. I have mine set to about 2mm or so, and it lights up right away. Perhaps you need more fluid?
 
It's not that mine isn't working well; I just didn't know if there was some way of optimizing its performance.
