Will,
I just resently got a Companion and Magnum Camp. Both are built like tanks, especially the Companion, and I know they are meant to be working knives, however, I would like to see Camillus offer thinner handles in black or white micarta for us who have been awarded small hands in the beginning.

I am talking a set of slabs with attaching hardware offered as an after market by Camillus or as an option at first sale. I will be glad to put my name on the list for the first order or micarta slabs!

Ron,

I think you could get a maker to make you custom Micarta slabs.

I am preparing to put thin Micarta slabs on, contour them, and then put a Strider style wrap over the top of that. I think the resulting handle will suit me a bit better than standard.

I asked this question when the new BK&T line came out. Will said that due to cost considerations, don't hold your breath while waiting to see different handles for the Beckers. Sorry. I think colored handles would be great also.

Excellent idea!!! Why doesn't Camillus offer handle scales with pins or bolts as a kit for the Becker line? I'm sure you'd sell a ton of them. I for one would very much like to have a thinner handle on my Campanion.
I love this knife, but it has the thickest handle of ANY of my knives. I have NEVER had a knife with such a thick handle. I have big hands, so I can use it as is, but I would much prefer a thinner handle, and can't imagine anybody with smaller hands than mine liking the existing thick handles on the Beckers.

Sorry guys,
But as discussed in the thread before,...these scales are molded GV6H. That means expensive,...I mean REALLY expensive, molds. I don't see us making any size variations as they would have to be VERY expensive to cover the tooling cost.

As for color variations, if we could get a few thousand customers to agree on what other color to do, ...you know, whether you wanted red, blue, orange, hot pink, or whatever, I could maybe get another color ran through the molds.

Henry Ford had the right idea on color selection......anything you want as long as its BLACK. Black it the color that MOST of our customers agree on. I would LOVE to have 10 different color options, but the volume would not support it.

But I sincerely appreciate the interest! I will get as many variations and new models as I can for the BK&T line. BK&T is one my personal favorite brands, and believe me, there will be new models

then how about just an update on the Bush Hog deliveries to wholesalers. The two I use the most still don't list the HOG.

Don't worry man, we can screw up our own handles to suite us....ha ha ha

Yeah, Will the BK&T line has fast become one of my favorites...was on a Busse kick there for awhile but BK&T is still the best "chop for the Buck" that I can see at this point.

Camillus...keep up the good work!
