hey there i want to get a folder which is all black but i cant decide on which one, hope u pple can help me out. the blade has to be 3 inch or less though. (Been checking out the gerber international ar 3.00, sog mini autoclip)

Outdoor Edge Mini Impulse. I prefer non-black knives but this one is so well made for the price that I could not resist it. The coating seems to hold up better that the others also -- 6 months of use and only one little scratch right near the tip where I clipped a staple in a box that I was slashing into...

705BT is a good choice, also look at the BM814. Might want to also check out the BM905. Away from Benchmade checkout the CRKT M16 series, their smallest knife is about the size you want, and also check out Emerson Knife Company as they make several great selections in that size range.

thanks for the choices so far but can i have the url fo rthe mini impulse coz i cant find it. keep the choices comin in ps thanks again

Hi jln26, the Gerber AR 3.00 is a great little knife for the money. I have the standard champagne coloured one with the bead blasted blade, but if you're looking at the all black version, I have to tell you that the teflon coating on the blade won't last long.

Unfortunately CRK&T does not produce a M16 model with a black handle and a black blade.

What about the 1* models (not the military but the police version)? I was pretty sure that had a black blade and handle.

Quote from the CRK&T website:

Identical in construction to our popular M16, the LE and M models offer the same sure-grip contoured handles of 6061 T6 aluminum, hard anodized in Law Enforcement blue for the LE and Olive Drab for the M.

...but the blade is black, at least on the LE series. The LE anodized handle is a very dark blue (almost black) if that makes a difference. :)

If money is not a big issue and you want a great knife that will stand up how about a MOD CQD Stealth it's about the best knife out there

Crkt's suck ........
