Since the search function is down im going to have to ask a few questions that may have been previously answered.

Two different topics but i didn't wantt to start two threads. I recently handled a G10 flight in store and it had a fair amount of play in both directions, is that normal?

The second part would require your opinions on what i should get for myself as a belated christmas gift.

Buck Hilo 440c (obtuse edge)
Benchmade monochrome
benchmade vex
G10 flight(excessive blade play?)
G10 cara cara
Boker Trance
Bladetech MLEK lite

Spoil yourself a bit and get a higher end Benchmade. The Vex, however, seems to be a very nice knife for the money. Check out Youtube for a review of the vex.

No knife, meaning quality knife that is, should have any blade play whatsoever NEW.
 
thanks for the imput guys. has anybody had past experience with the bladetech MLEK lite?
 
The G10 Cara Cara is a beast, it's a lot of knife and you definitely get your monies worth. My Boker Trance though is one of my favourite knives.

But, like everyone said, don't think you can go wrong with Benchmade.
