Or how I learned to love the 25

When I first saw the Lochsa, I was not impressed. After looking at pics on Scott's site, I grew to like the knife. I had had many classics and regulars over the years, a few Mnandis and Umnumzaans, and various fixed blades, both one piece and others. Up until Saturday, I only had a new pivot Umnumzaan, a large 21 with micarta, a large Insingo with micarta. The 21 has been my favorite blade, not only because it's S35VN. Until I saw the Inkosi, with natural micarta scales.

On Saturday I traded into a large 25 with micarta scales. S35VN. The lock, which I hated before, which I didn't even like the knife before, felt great in hand. I like the somewhat wider blade, but it reminds me of the Lochsa to an extent.

This is my new favorite blade. I still want an Inkosi, but there isn't much difference, other than the natural micarta inserts I want.

Please share side by side pics of your Inkosi and 25 models.

Currently I've got 8 Sebenza 25's. When they first came out, I really liked everything about the knife. The 25's life span only lasted about 4 years and then it morphed into the Inkosi. For me, there's not enough changes made to get rid of the 25's and replace them with Inkosi's. I've got one on order just because I wanted one for a user.

I like natural micarta, could care less about the clip, wondering why I passed up a trade on the 25 earlier.
