Lycosa,
It comes in 2 sizes. The medium 482, which comparable in size to the 112 Ranger and 500 Duke and the large 486, which is comparable in size to the 110.
I own and regularly use the 110, 112, 500, Ecolite 112, 482 and 486. IMO, among these lockbacks, the 482 and 486 are the best value dollar for dollar and ounce for ounce, at least in terms of sheer performance. The 482 resides somewhat permanently on my work bench and my 486 is in my "10 Essentials" bag that goes with me when ever I'm out in the woods.
These knives are thin handled. Sort of like light weight versions of the 500 Duke. I find this is fine for short jobs. If I'm sitting down to whittle or doing yard work, I prefer the wider handle of the Ecolite (or classic 110/112) by a long shot.
These knives are pure function. Aesthetically, I think they're among the ugliest knives I've seen. They just look nasty to me. I'm EDCing an Ecolite and vastly prefer it for general day to day use.
These knives both come with thumbstuds and non-moveable pocket clips. I found the studs to be totally ineffective, so *pop* I took them off. Careful work with a dremmel will remove the pocket clip.
My take...
If you want a tough, light, cheap Buck lockback to beat on with impunity, get the Bucklite Max 482 or 486.
If you want a tough, light, better looking EDC, get the Ecolite (or possibly Vantage if you like liner locks).
