Orange G-10 Native 5

After seeing the pictures on British Blade Forum of the orange Native slipit prototype - I decided to build an orange G10 Native 5 in my shop. I've attached a couple of early photos - I still don't have the clip attached (tip up left hand side only) and I still need to tweak the fit and blade centering a bit. But it is coming together nicely. I used a polished G-10 rather than a textured version. I just like the feel of the polished finish - since almost all of my other G-10 knives have a textured surface.

So you built the entire knife less the blade or you made the scales? I really like the work you did on the scales. I also like the color.There is just something about orange that makes a knife look even better. Thanks for sharing.

Thank, BH! :) :) :eek: Not taking orders right now (my day job + family are keeping me way too busy). But I'll shoot you a PM, BH.

I purchased 1/16" thick G-10 with a polished (e.g., non-textured) surface. When I'm finished fitting out the knife, I'm going to buff the heck out of it so it gets that shiny look like the Red Persian.

And to answer your question, Panch0, I bought a stock Native V and replaced the black G-10 scales with tailor-made orange G-10. All other parts are stock.

Great job on that. Looks really good.
 
Another great set of scales Ted, now you need to get a picture of that native 5 wearing its new clothes with your other spydies dressed in Orange.
