So a few years ago (anywhere from 6-10 years) I bought a pretty cool looking Buck knife. It had a bright orange handle and came with an orange/black camo sheath. Well as my luck would have it, I've lost it and it really meant a lot to me and was just a great knife I remember having. I was wondering if anybody could point me in the direction of one. It was not a one hand opener, it had a nail nick, was a lockback with plastic/zytel handles that were orange. It had about a 3" blade. Anyone know the knife that I'm talking about. Any help is greatly appreciated, I just recently found the sheath and remembered the knife and the fact that I lost it a few years ago. Thanks guys. Mike.

I think RH is correct. I had an olive Bucklite when I was younger, it was nice and light but still filled the hand like my 112.

I'd like a titanium 112 with stag scales!

Not yet offered but I'm going to keep asking,

Yup, that's it RH, thanks man. I really loved that knife, always served me well and I love the color of it, probably the reason I love the Spyderco rescue in orange. Do you know of any websites or stores that still sell em? I'd really want to use Ebay on last resort. This was actually the last knife that I pulled out when I went through the metal detector at the Empire State building a few years ago from my sig., man those were some good times with my Bucklite. Thanks again for your help.

Yes, it seems you had on of the old Bucklites, model 422, thick strong plastic scales with fingergrooves and no liners, same size and general shape as the 112 Ranger, it was made in diferent colors (mine is black and I´ve adapted a thumbstud) there was one version made for the Boy Scouts (Red I believe), the nylon sheath was interesting in that it would open by separating two sections on the top, no flap.

That one has been discontinued, there is a new Bucklite, model 442BK, with a diferent look and a drop point blade, see it here:

I too suggest checking at the Buck forum.

Also in 2000 there was a run of Bucklites using the old style handles with 110, 112 and 501 blades. Black and orange were offered in the 112& 501 size.I took one of the 112's and had a BG42 blade put in it.

There are a couple of these on eBay. I saw them there recently.
Do a Google search for a BuckLite #422.

flsmith79, I've almost made this mistake myself. This thread is almost 5 years old!
