I finished the sheath today, and I'll be taking pics of it in a few minutes.

Sheath pics!

veg tanned chemically blackened with vinegaroon.

Lesson learned with this sheath, when you wet form a sheath, let it dry really really long before leaving a nice shiny knife in it for long. Insta-rust.

I'm partial to file knives for a great working blade. Your's has lot's of character and looks like a heavy duty hunter. What's involved in your homemade micarta?

A little bit off here but I was wondering after you anneal your file and shape the blade do you do any other heat treatment?

You made a very functional tool that will perform well past the point of diminishing return. What can the best knife in the world do that your knife can't? NOT MUCH. Well done, bravo, looks good!

Thanks everyone, glad to hear you like it. I was worried people might not like the bright orange too much.

If you look at some of the closeups of the handle, you can see a defect or two, and those kept annoying me so I actually recoated the handle with super glue and resanded to get them out. Basically the same as before, just the little divots (i think that is what it is) are gone.
