Saw this up in the announcements and started wondering...

Have these already been produced?

On the blade it reads: "BLADEFORUMS 4 OF 4"

Was there only enough leftover orange G10 to make 4?

Will the sale price be similar to the original Junglas?

These were a special for a BladeForums promotion we did. These are not being sold by ESEE. They were donated to BFs to help out with server costs, etc.

The Shotgunners have one, I think. (Orange Junglas, with or w/o the Bladeforums stuff)
Cool knife

As was stated previously:

"One thing we will be doing soon is running the rmainder of the Orange G10 material that we bought to do the limited run Bladeforums Junglas models. So, we will have a few Orange handled G10 Junglas models that we will sell direct (not through dealers) and that will be all that we have. Not sure when that will happen though. Need to get with Shon to find out."

Are there others that you are going to produce and sell or are these subscription promotional ones the only orange Junglas(s) that will ever come around?

We will get around to running out the remainder of the orange G10 stock somehwere in the next 10 years or so then offer them for sale on the site.

Thanks for the clarification.

Guess I will have to be happy with my canvas micarta Junglas for the next 10 years.:D

(PS what is the plural of Junglas?)

Junglas is plural. Actually the name of the Commandos in Colombia is JUNGLA (pronounced HOONGLA). We could have trademarked the non-plural version and used that but the group (plural) sounded better.

BTW: we put the proper pronunciation of Jungla in the new catalog since so many people say it with a J sound like Jungle.

Nutnhoney says its a Jun-ga-less. You sure its Hoonglas?:D

When I pronounce it to people, they look like I just shit on their purse dog's head. What's that? So I spell it for them. Wait for it, wait for it,

Isn't that Jun-ga-less?

Maybe it's just spending my entire life in Southern California, but there has never been a problem with the pronunciation around here. And I want the Orange one too!

No, you heard me say "jungle-ass".

i've mentioned that, before, in another thread. i thought i was the only one callin it a Jungle Ass :D

i'm really into orange. my car is orange, whenever i buy a lighter i make sure to get an orange one, etc. i gotta say, though, i'm not diggin the orange scales. the only orange scales i've ever liked are the SRKW black/orange G10. i'm not a sucker for the tacticool trends, but i can't go totally in the other 'safety tool' direction either. to me, the standard Junglas is as clean and classic as it gets. it looks (and feels) just right :)

Don't know about you, but I much prefer having the canvas micarta to G10 on this particular knife. I'd imagine the G10 wouldn't be quite as grippy as the micarta, and a good grip is VERY imoprtant with this knife. This is actually my first canvas micarta handle and I love it. I wish more knives would have it. I'd even be interested in trying it out on a folder.
