HANDLE: Safety Orange Cerakote coated, I like the textured (grippy) black inlay. Bright isn't it.

Expected release date: 2017

Introducing Buck's straight forward automatic tool designed for the everyday user. The Impact springs open with the push of a button, readying the S30V steel blade for quick action. The safety switch keeps the knife locked open and closed for safe use and carry while the aluminum handle features a textured inlay for a secure grip. Made in the USA.

Hay Ho, hee haa did you ever see a knife that you didn't like? Just kidding. A rethorical question. :)

I don't know a thing about Ceracote so I found this short video and after watching it think it can't be all that bad:

Pardon the questions, but I'm not allowed to buy these here so I have no experience with them.

Does the blade really release straight forward. I know some do, but I thought this flipped open from the side. Second question, does the button retract the blade as well?

They swing out. No the button releases the blade to be closed but does not auto close. Buck did a really nice job on these. Gift store at factory just got some more in.

I like them, but never been a fan of grip tape on knives. Take that off and put some texture like on the Marksman then we may have a deal.
