Well I just got back this morning from camping to a package from Oregon :D

Here they are, the orange micarta scales for Oregon's dirty Becker contest
and he threw in a piece of pitchwood!

First impression when I fondled them was amazement to how high quality these things were, they look and feel just like ka bars micarta!

Here is a pic for comparison next to grivory, and regular micarta.

So these scales are badass, now what do i put them on? So i decided to do some side by side comparisons....
Machax and Brute

Bk2 and Bk77

Bk9 and Patrol Machete

Reinhardt Kukri and RSK MK2

So I ended up deciding to put them on the Machax, I thought they look best on there, plus seeing how that was the blade in the pic for his contest!

So in conclusion thanks again to Oregon!! It amazes me how skilled some of you guys are on here when it comes to handles/sheaths/mods! And these scales will definitely be put through the paces, no beauty queens here in beckerland :D

Very nice! He did a great job on those handles. Congrats on winning the contest.

Congratulations man, those look sweet! I have to say that i am having jealous thoughts.

Yeah man good stuff. you may need to thin em' out a bit to fit your hand. I think I took those to 120 grit. keep them away from temps above 150. That resin i used absolutely comes apart at temps above 150 for long periods. hard as a rock in cold temps, softer when its hot.

Thanks for the heads up Oregon, but since the apocalypse was a no go, I shouldn't be around anything that hot! They fit great in my hands so I was just going to use and abuse em :)

Also I should say they are dead nuts on as far as fitting goes, for a gen 2, Ka bar BK2. I say that cause it looks like they overhang the pommel a bit in one of the pics. They sand easy enough with Norton 3x paper. usually 80 grit for fitting and 120 for finish. just a thought. Glad your liking them.
