I know it has been touched on before, but what sources have you guys found for Orange Micarta, preferably canvas?I got an order for a dozen rigging knives with orange handles.Only source I found was Sheffield supply.

Stacy it seems to me like the orange stuff I've seen was G10, and I'm not sure where it came from. I've bought phenolic sheet from Sheffield's before and was not generally happy; most of the pieces had color variation within the piece and seemed much more likely to discolor from heat than the name brand Micarta. Just a thought. I've been buying my Micarta from other suppliers the last few times with happier results. None of this was helpful for your search, sorry I couldn't help.

Stacy, I've got a good sized block of canvas micarta that I doubt very much if I'll ever use. I'm heading out to the shop shortly and I'll see how big it actually is. If your going to be useing scales that aren't to big there might be enough to do a dozen knives. I'll get back to you when I come in for my first break.

Natural micarta looks yellow or light orange when first cut. It then gradually changes to burgundy/brown.

THere's the orange G-10 Sheffield has, and Halpern occasionally has it, too. You could also use orange Fibermascus, which is like Micarta, and I think that's usually in stock.

HEre is Garolite CE (Natural Canvas Micarta) You can get it from MSC or McMaster Carr.

The customer wants bright orange (blaze orange, signal orange).I have natural bown.I may have to go with G-10.Thanks for the sugestion on fibermascus,I had forgot about it.

The orange G-10 is shockingly bright. I talked with what's his face from Fibermascus and he said his orange material is very bright, too.
