Having spent a lot of time as a chainsaw operator I quite like my international
safety orange, but some one needs a slap up side the head for that one

These were done by CRK for some time....orange gun-cote and all!!!

Not to many of those around!!!

Actually, it's listed for sale on New Graham's website. Here is the description:

"A very early South African Mountaineer I. Serial numbered on blade as 93 indicating on of the very first and made in South Africa. The orange coating is original....it was an experiment to see if there was an interest in knives of color other than the gray/black used then, and still used today. The coating is made by KalGard, the same company that made the gray/black coating. Records indicate a birth date of late 1986.
The sheath included, which has "Chris Reeve" and "#93" written on it, is likely NOT original to the knife. Probabaly errouneously exchanged with another sheath during it's life.
Includes Knife in excellent condition, mis-matched sheath, and letter of providence from Chris Reeve Knives."
