Was browsing the bay, and saw this.I seem to remember that Chris said( In the Exquisite Blade DVD) he made some Orange 1Pc knives back in the day. This is the first one I've ever seen or really heard about. Was wondering how rare these are, and if anyone has any info on them?

Also, I'm pretty sure its a Sable, but....

Not sure if I can post the link to it or not, but just type Chris Reeve Orange in the ebay search engine.

Heres a pic of the knife...

Wow, an orange one piece knife? It is interesting to get a look at Mr. Reeve's sense of humor.:D

Like you said, Chris stated that this was a failed experiment in the sense of very few sales. The thinking at the time was that the knife would be more visible if dropped in the woods. He also experimented with camo, blue, and green IIRC. I would imagine that only a few made their way into the open market before he stopped offering the orange option. If you collect OPR knives, I'd say grab it!

I saw it as well, man that is some serious orange - thought it was strange until I saw this post. By chance, I was talking to a guy later today that told me he once had a camo CRK fixed blade - would have thought he was crazy had I not saw the auction and read this post... Thanks for the good information, I appreciate it.
