So I was at my local superstore today and was browsing through the sporting goods section, and I saw that there were 3 kershaw knives on clearance after already being marked down. So I ask to see the three models they had, one was the Antelope Hunter, I pulled it out of the sheath, saw China stamp and handed it back to the guy. He said "what's wrong? You sure can't beat the price." I agree with the price I said, just not the country of origin. At below $15 I admit it would have been a steal (I just cannot support the PRC if I can help it).

I then move on to the 1082OR and the 1080OR, pulled them out of thier sheaths and immediately handed him my Debit Card. I can't say much for Kershaw quality, as I have only owned a few way back when I was younger. Other than that I had a cheapie folder for awhile which my buddy talked me out of because he liked the looks of it, I obliged as I got the knife for two packs of smokes that I bought a guy in dire need of nicotine. But I have to say that these two models will likely join my fixed blade EDC rotation for a bit (a least until my Swamp Rat Rodent Solution arrives anyways).

So what does it take to become Order of Kai? Can't claim I am a FanBoy, but at less than $40 for both knives I could not pass up USA made Sandvick with Blaze Orange (I likes the Orange because I hunt and really hate setting down a knife that becomes invisible in fading light) and decent Leather Pouches. We will if these knives play well, and perhaps just maybe I will find in these knives what so many other's have found to love about Kershaw.

Thanks for tuning in, see you all next time.

You have to keep a box of tissues handy.

There was an organized thread with certain criteria to get in, haven't been around the site much lately but when the KAI sub forum was shut down many went their own ways. There are still a few of us kicking around though.

Just so you know... :D

Or you just stay single, or find true love on bladeforums. There's bound to be a single female in her 20's looking for a like minded knife enthusiast on this forum. Right? *hears crickets*

What he said... lol!

I was thinking that there was a thread here in general to sign up, just haven't seen anything lately and haven't taken the time to do a search yet. I always enjoyed the Kai subforum, even when there was a bit of drama. For the most part, it was a great group of people.
