This one is about done. Still need to brighten the blade up, couple coats of oil on the handle, and sharpen but it will be done tomorrow night. This one is my Bushcrafter with a longer blade with crotch Walnut scales. It will be getting a universal rig. Handle has oil on it now so it will look much smoother when finished Bill. The wood looks really really good in hand.

J1M, that's a good looking KFU bushcraft. Almost looks as good as mine. :D. ROFL :p :devilish:

Thanks guys, it turned out really good with that longer blade

Chris, words can not translate into a "thank you" for what I feel right now. I was thinking when I saw this I wish my dad was still around because I know when I showed it to him, he would swear that knife was one his dad used around their barn or one of their tack shops to cut the leather on the saddles, bridles, or lead straps. You could not have done a more perfect job on this from the tons of emails and P/M's I sent back and forth to you trying to describe how I wanted a new knife to look like it was 150 years old . . . . you hit it right on the button buddy . . . . . :)
"Thank you" will have to suffice for now . . . .
Be safe.

Im glad you like it Bill. I hope it will serve you well for many years to come!

I've always liked walnut handles and that pin spacing adds to it. Great looking blade, well executed.

very nice! those three pins really make a difference
J1M: you tell your great-grandchildren to check on it in 150 years' time, I guess it'll be still around! :)

Alright J1M, I actually redid the the handle on this one! It needed a little thinning up front. Man it feels good now. Ill get some pics with the wifey and get it shipped out this week.
