***order your 2011 forum knives!!!***

Time to order your 2011 Traditional Forum knife to be made by GEC!
It is time to place your order and send in your money. We have chosen GEC to make this years' Traditional Knife. Many people think that GEC makes the best production slip-joint knives you can buy. This will be a new pattern to GEC, meaning that they will undertake new designs and tooling just for this knife. GEC has indicated that afterwards, they may choose to make our pattern available to the masses, which is pretty cool. You will have created GEC's next pattern and each of you will essentially have a prototype.

We will run order thread until Friday May 27, 2011. At that time, the ordering process will be closed and the finalized order list posted. Please do not wait until the last minute to place your order. If you know you want a knife, place your order asap.

This thread will be closed and stickied:
The discussion/question/answer thread can be found at the following link:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/843655-2011-Forum-Knife-Discussion-Thread

Use the discussion post listed above to: say you placed your order, sent paypal payment, sent payment, have questions, etc. As soon as we have a proto type picture, we will post it. As of right now, we have no actual picture of the knife, so we will post it as soon as we have a picture to post.

The knife:
Easy Open Jack - 3 5/8", Spear master with swedge / caplifter secondary, nickel silver bolsters and liners, brown jigged bone similar to peach-seed style, propeller shield, 1095 carbon steel, half-stops, candle-tip end, long pull, 2011 BF tang stamp, and custom labeling on package by member Ivankerley. Please note that this will be a new pattern by GEC.

Example design from GEC:

Disclaimer and legal:
We reserve the right to upate the price matrix at any time. While we were compiling this price matrix, the price changed upward for Priority mail for over $1.00 USD.

The USPS is insuring your purchase against loss in the mails based on a value of $100 per knife.

Neither BladeForums.com nor the 2011 Knife committee are profiting from this venture. All monies will be used to pay for knives, shipping, and packaging. If there is any money remaining after the project is complete, it will be applied towards the 2012 Traditional Knife Project.

Thanks for your patience, understanding and participation.
