Can't wait to get them..:D

I have alot of stuff to test them on, it should be alot of fun and an experience sense all of you guys are happy with yours. :)

Welcome to the club, you are going to love them. Then you will want to try all the other styles and sizes. So the madness begins...

Excellent Choices!! and welcome to the Cantina:)

Remember these are handmade and expect each knife to have its own unique character--with tiny imperfections (maybe) that just make them more special! But they should be tough as hell and do more mork than you could ever throw at them:)

Did you get horn or wood? either way, check out the Khukuri FAQ section for care tips for each type of handles--and sharpening tips, scabbard care etc..etc...etc...

Have fun:)!!

The 15" is Horn and the 18" is Wood. :D

I know I have been reading up on them for awhile and with everyone here you all have talked me into them. :D

Thanks:D

And yeah, I have a feeling I will be getting more somehow..:D

Welcome to the cantina Ankerson.:)

You may indeed wind up buying other khuks out of curiosity, but you sure picked a good pairing to start out with. Between the two of them, they'll handle just about anything you can come up with. While you're checking out the FAQ on sharpening and care tips, please also take a look at the section on safety. Khuks, like axes and machetes, can be very unforgiving if mishandled. Used with respect, they'll become your best friend, but it only takes one misjudgement to learn that a sharp steel blade is made to cut and not too particular about what.

Sylvrfalcn,

Thanks, glad to be here.:D

I have been doing alot of reading about the different models and the FAQ, and SAFEFY. :D

I don't plan on cutting myself for sure. ;)

I figured the 15" would be nice utility knife..about 10" blade, it should handle most things pretty easy.

I thought the 18" would be best for heavy chopping and other chores.

From what I have read they are the best choppers and I like the blade profile the best, with the WWII model next. (Personal Preference)

My 15"AK doesn't do a good Robin Williams impression. :( You must've got a good one. :D

Welcome aboard! If others haven't already worned you, you won't be able to stop at just two. They just seem to keep calling to you :).

You may be right there, I am already looking at some of the others too..:D

Welcome to the Cantina. Get a good hold and set your spurs. When the HIKV kicks in you'll be ready for a wild ride.:)

Let me ask you a question that will help you understand us better. OK?

Simply decide which you like the most below.

A) Blondes
B) Brunettes
C) Raven tresses
D) Redheads

Now if you insist there has to be yet another answer, i.e.:

E) All of the above!!!

then you are on your way to understanding the affliction known as Himalayan Imports Khukuri Virus.

( Once you've received your packages, and discovered that hand-forged and put together knives really do have a presence to them or more accurately, in them, we can talk more. )
