When I get something I really dig, I start wanting more than one. The Marksman is amazing in so many ways that I had to get another. By Thursday I have UPS delivering, and can't wait, even though I already have one. It's that good!

I heard that.

it is difficult for me to imagine a better EDC folder. I carry one every day since it came on the market. Love it.

Nevertheless, I can imagine an automatic version or anodized blue or a larger or a smaller or a resin handle or a clear handle or a Cocobola or a spearpoint blade or ...

Oregon, I'd definitely want different versions, blade steels, size (this needs an XL), and handle materials (titanium would be neat)

postfallsidaho, thanks man, with such a perfect blade I had to.

The pictured 830 has been carried every day since day one clipped into my RF pocket with a metal tire gauge, three pens, at least one other knife (424) and just look at it: As new! I had figured the black finish would show some wear already. I was wrong about that.

I toured the Buck Factory last summer during the 25th BCCI week. I asked about titanium being used in the construction of knives and was told no it won't be used because of fire hazard associated with that metal. I was disappointed to hear that.

Thanks man, I was just wondering today what the fnish would look like after more carry, it's not a safe queen for me so I don't care all that much, but I did wonder how the aluminum held up.

Titanium would be neat, and also out of my price range anyway, but I like to dream you know? I had no idea about fire danger though.

I finally got the 2nd one today! You know I love that UPS took their sweet time, and they gave the package to USPS for the last leg of the delivery, only adding another 2 day, but I don't mind at all (head into counter)!

Anyway, love it. Same f & f as my first, great quality control. Came centered, and flips perfectly.

There is a difference though. Pivot screws have been changed. I hope you can see in the pic, they have changed to a smaller torx, doesn't matter, but it is a change:

Thank you for the update.

Pivot screw wrench size shrank. Check.

Did the blade finish change. The early version, mine, was busy. How does the new by blade finish compare to the oldie's blade finish?
