Hi,

I just ordered an Insingo Sebenza from knife-art.com to replace my small-regular model I lost last year while fishing.
After five years of regular, everyday use at work I somehow lost it one Saturday... hopefully somebody found it by the lake and is currently enjoying it. It'd be a shame just to let it go to waste.
Anyway, I was going to buy another regular sebenza but this one caught my eye, it looks a little more rugged then my other one and I'm impatient to see it first-hand.
My previous sebenza had a chipped tip from wear-and-tear and I think this new model will hold up better because of it's bluntness.
Does anyone else have this knife? How does it compare to the regular model?

Don't have one yet, but plan on getting one. Did you order the Regular size or the Small?

I have a large model, it gives the impression that it is sturdier then the regulat blade profiles. But that might be just an impression, I think you will like it.

I have a large, I don't think the smalls are available yet. I will be picking up a small when I can though. The only complaint I have about the Insingo is that it is not a small. The blade shape is great.

I have one and I am liking the blade better. It serves me better at work and I also like the swedge on it better than the Um for scraping.... Definitely more useful in that respect too.

Cool, this knife will probably preform better for me then a regular version. Not as good
looking but I didn't buy it because it was pretty. I might miss the BG42 steel though, it was
hard to sharpen but held an edge better then my benchmades with s30v.

I am sorry for your loss, I would be sick if I lost any CRK.......... I wanna get a large insingo when funds allow. I might wait though because it is only supposed to be an exclusive for One Year, then CRK is going to make it a regular in their line-up. I am hoping then they offer micarta or wood inlays like the 21 models. That would be sweet.

I was very close to buying a 21 with micarta inlays but after some thought I went this route. I'm sure they will make a fancier model of the Insingo later on.

Have you received the Insingo yet? Just curious on your thoughts. I ordered one today and can't wait till it arrives.

Just got home an hour ago and the Insingo was here waiting :)
From the little I've played around with it I can tell this one has
better slicing capabilities then my old Sebenza. (of course it's bigger
though...) The gradual curve of the blade makes for a consistent
cut and I have more control whittling at things from near the tip.
I like the classic style (or 21, whatever it's called now) better
then my regular model since it's easier and faster to open and close, plus
I think it has a cleaner look.

All and all I'm very pleased with my purchase and am glad I bought this
one over the original, it's more unique and will probably preform better for me.

oh, well I can't help you with that. This is my first Sebbie. Got a Strider SMF dgg. They are close to the same size.

Huh,A sheepsfoot Sebbie.I wasn't even aware of these.

:thumbup:Congrats on your new knife, sorry for the loss of the old one:(I'd be sick if I lost one of my CRK's.
