Hey guys, I just ordered a Storm II online and it should be arriving this Monday. I am just wondering what I should expect from it when I receive it... Things such as quality, sharpness, etc. I'm excited to use it since it will be my first "quality" (read: more than $5) knife. Thanks for the help!

Expect to be impressed. Mine locks up solid as any of my Sebenzas. The blade steel is easy to sharpen and keeps a working edge for a decent amount of time. It fits my hand great (medium sized hands) and the trac tec gives an extra "grippiness" The only thing is it is a little on the heavy side, especially if you are used to smaller titanium frame folders. I love mine and EDC it.

it's an awesome knife. i got one for Christmas and it was my first Kershaw. it is a little heavy but if you're used to $5 knives you will be blown away.

I've just ordered this knife too (with serrated combo blade) and I expect to get it on 11th May.

Expect an in-depth review from me when it arrives!

They are very tight and razor sharp out of the box.....Great knife---I have four !!!

I like mine alot. As bobg2 said, it locks up solid, feels good in hand, and is pretty cool looking also. For the $20 or so I paid at wal-mart it's a very good value IMO.

I actually p/u one of these today at my local WM, I was totally blown away w/ the quality of this knife after getting it home and really checking it out. Fit and Finish are spot on! The blade was hair popping sharp out of the box...and as said, the lock up was on par w/ some high end productions and customs I've owned. It is on the heavy side, but damn if this isnt a quality folder..cant beat it for the price paid!

Like others have said...solid lock up, very sharp out of the box and the handle is quite grippy. So much so that it will fray your pockets. I ended up selling mine because I have no love for recurves. You'll not be dissappointed...a great value.

I've had one for more than a year. It feels good in the hand but has a little too much of a mall ninja look for me. The blade holds an edge and is fairly easy to sharpen. It gets the occasional rust spots. Opens easily and locks tight. The combo edge serrated teeth are easily damaged and not easily repaired.

I carry onew all of the time and love it. It is one of the best deals on the market. It also suprises me that you do not hear more about it with it being a quality knife, made in the States, good steel and low price. I like the weight of it and how thin it is.

While my hands are a little on the larger side, the feel of the knife is nice. It locks up solid, and I don't worry about it when using it for what I bought it for. I bought mine to use to skin a few deer last fall. The extra "heft" is nice when using it for this. The blade shape is perfect for it. The trac-tec inserts are a plus, too. This coming fall I'll use it again!

Does anybody know how to sharpen the convex type serrated edges on the Storm II (ST)?

Completely puzzled here....

Anyone seen a retailer with the 1475BLK Storm in stock? The only ones I can find are on hEllbay..anyone...Bueller?...Bueller?...Bueller?...Frye?...Frye?...Frye?...

SV, that's exactly what I got from the exact same person, or store, or whatever...they had 1 left, and I've already got a tracking number! The things were going for around $ 49 on hEllbay...

HA! Ya snooze ya lose, bro! :D I'll make sure to let ya know what it's like, :p and if it's as good as my first one, it'll be very nice!
