Been thinking about getting a manix 2 lwt for a while and I like that it's made in the USA so I bought one and it's supposed to be here by Friday I'll post pictures when I get it and maybe a review after I have it for a while.

They are indeed a nice knife. Not quite as smooth as the G10 model, but impressive in their own right. Congratulations, and enjoy.

Congrats. I had one when they first came out and ended up trading it. Just recently got another one to keep in my work bag. I was looking for one with a torx but ended up with one that was pinned. Does anyone know if all of the black ones have the torx screw since it came out later?

I got a Translucent blue one plain blade with the torx. Still haven't received it but hopefully tomorrow or Friday.

My wife got the blue translucent with the BD1 steel for valentines day from yours truly!
It is sooooooo much smoother than the 3 G10 models I have handled. And the spring is super strong.
The blade finish is also nice. I like the grind lines in the S30V but the lightweight has a smooth semi mirror finish look to it.
ENJOY!

Love my translucent blue Manix 2 LW. Easily one of my favorite EDC knives. One heads up - you may find the lock a bit difficult at first, but all 3 of the ones I own broke in after some use. Enjoy! :)

Congrats, I wish I had the torx screw, mine is pinned, still I love the heck out of mine, and find it so light and easy to carry

Very nice knife. But I never pulled the trigger on that one because of the pinned construction. Why they couldn't have used torx screws like the other Manix models I just can't understand.

I have various pinned Spydercos, including the pinned Manix 2 lightweight. Not only do they perform as well as the screw versions, but they have the side benefit of never having a loose pivot screw. The downside is that you can't disassemble the knife, but I can't see any reason I would ever take apart the Manix 2 lightweight.
