ordered my first Becker blade

today I ordered my first Becker blade - the Becker Combat Utility BK7

seems like it will be a good all around blade

I just realized afterward that i have a whole lot of knives. I am not sure how they piled up so much about a year ago i got interested in quality knives - i had always bought cheap knives for work (Iron worker / industrial mech) blades for cutting rope for rigging and scraping / shaping gasket materiel - didn't see any point in paying a lot of cash for something that will get beat to hell and back.

anyway - i feel like it was a good choice the seller had said they had been on order for a while so i guess there is a demand for them.

the past few months I have been reading lots of different information on lots of different knives and for the money and the quality Becker seems hard to beat.

Ethan had sent me a message about the other subject i posted about that i thought i had a fake. He was genuinely concerned. Not many companies like that anymore.

I like buying from a company/maker that has integrity and pride in what they make.

I think i will get one for my son the next birthday that comes around.

Congratulations on your new Becker knife. The 7 really is a nice knife.
 
I don't have a 7 (yet), but it's definitely on the wish-list. Won't be too long I don't reckon.

You and your son both will dig 'em, I'm sure. Two things are obligatory around here though, 1) you gotta use 'em, and 2) you gotta show as much knife porn as you can muster. Oh, and 3) you get extra points (it seems) if the porn comes from you using them! :D
 
Coincidentally, I just received my first Becker today. A BK7 as well. First impressions are good, no great. Not sure why everyone is complaining about the grivory, they feel much more contoured to my hands than a RC6 that I have since sold off. Great price, great knife. :thumbup: More as it comes.

Eric, I doubt you'll be disappointed.
 
Congrats on the purchase. I hope you're as impressed with the 7, as I am with the 2, and the 9.
 
I thought about the BK 9 but i have several large blades wanted to try something a lil bit smaller but still have some ass to it - an all day everyday blade is what it seems like form the pic

but - i will probably end up getting one later anyway
