Ordered a Skeleton Key and I am excited. I originally ordered the desert tan, although I have changed it to the black. What is everyone's opinion on their favorite coating? Also, who is a good sheath maker that can make a leather sheath for the knife? I really am looking forward to seeing how the infi steel compares to others I have used.

Thanks,

Congrats on your new Key. How about some pics? Pictures are always nice. :D

Dwayne over at armoralleather makes great sheaths. I think he even has some on his website for Keys. Check it out.

Shoulda ordered one of each colour.

Any of the bovine product makers, Dwayne, Kenny, or Mike can provide a sweet rig for the Key.

Westflorida,
Welcome to the Busse Forum, I'm glad that you stopped by.

Be sure to let us know what you think of that SK when you receive it. It is a fine small knife

:D:D

My favorite coating is usually no coating at all, I like doublecut BB the best. On a knife that small though I think a coating is a good idea as it should help out in the grip department. Desert tan would have been best because of how rough it is (like dull 120 grit sandpaper) but I'm sure you'll be happy with the black crinkle as well.

Congratulations Westflorida! :)

Here's a pic of my tan SK in one of Dwayne's sheaths. As you can see it is set up for cross-draw carry. Excellent retention and enough handle exposed to easily draw the blade without a lanyard.

Welcome to the trough. I personally like the desert tan, and from I have been reading it holds up very well to hard use. I can't wait to see what it looks like on an AK in person.
Good luck.

Andy
